This page logs the significant changes to the web site that have been made, so you can see what we are doing to improve the RotaDoc system. Most recent changes are shown first.

4th August 2003

Improved section references to better cope concurrent editing and viewing.

RotaDoc survey active (please complete the survey).

12th March 2003

Added support for recording absences (vacation, study leave etc.).

Improved role group editor and navigation between roles, groups, workers and posts. Added worker summary pages and ability to edit groups of workers on one page.

Improved section ordering on home pages - now in chronological order, but past sections are listed after a horizontal rule.

Some internal architectural changes which improve performance when moving between pages and aid scalability.

14th September 2002

Added a significantly enhanced rota editor that is much more usable on large sections and slower computers. New features include part section display, find, overview and statistics. Also added the ability to switch between worker and role views while in the editor. RotaDoc remembers editor settings between editor sessions.

Added Preview of Viewer's home page while logged in as administrator.

Changed XML backup to use Windows line separators rather than UNIX, so the resulting file is can be viewed in Windows Notepad.

Fixed the site so that it will work without cookies. However we still recommend that you use them.

16th August 2002

Add dates on right hand side of rota editor for sections with more than four shifts. Repeat column headings every three weeks through the section. Use smaller font for column headings.

12th August 2002

Save button on rota editor now returns you to the administrator home page to save an unnecessary reload.

Add restore facility, so that you can restore from backups. Add delete facility to enable complete removal of an organisation and all its data.
